The staff was nice and welcoming. The room was functional and clean. We were offered a nice selection for breakfast and dinner (you can book the room with a dinner option which is interesting regarding the prices for food and restaurants in Norway in general). The lounge space is very nice and the possibility to have - for free - tea/coffee with even some cake around 5pm was greatly appreciated. The hotel is located in the city center of Lillehammer, in walking distance of the main tourist spots. I would recommend a stay at the Clarion Hotel.

Nice older hotel with very quiet clean rooms. After a long day of sightseeing, we really appreciated receiving dinner, as well as breakfast, and both meals offered several options to choose from.

Our stay at Clarion was the first stop in a three week cousins tour of Norway and Denmark. it was the perfect place for us to recover from jet-lag and just relax and get acquainted with Norway.

Great location, tasty breakfast, dinner and fika. If this hotel had a ski room and some equipment to take care (wax) of skis, it would be 10/10. It does not have that unfortunately, you have to take your skis and everything to your room. We dried our wet clothes after XC skiing on a heated bathroom floor. :) it worked well so we were satisfied enough

We liked the hotel so much! The staff was very nice and attentive. The room and the hotel as a whole were exceptionally clean. Everything was in order in our room, every last bulb and switch. The breakfast was delicious. And the location was very convenient. Overall, a very cozy experience. We especially enjoyed the hotel's lobby where you can get a cup of coffee and sip it by the fireplace. Looking forward to staying there again!

The friendly staff helped us with easy access via bus to the many xc skiing venues in and around Lillihammer. Complimentary breakfast had pretty much anything one could want for breakfast as well as lunch materials and fresh fruit. The complimentary dinner included soup, various salads and a main entre (some more tasty than others). The sauna was large, looked new and was clean!

Friendly hotel with a town centre location. Our room rate included a good buffet breakfast and dinner. Coffee and cake was provided in the afternoon and this was much appreciated.

The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the charming main shopping street. There is free parking (limited spaces, but I always found one). The meals are good. Breakfast was especially good with a lot of variety. Dinner entrees were okay.

It is less than 10 minutes walk to the train and bus station. You can easily walk in your cross country skiing outfit with the skis. Both breakfast and diners were delicious and definitely added value given that Lillehammer does not have great gastronomical experiences on offer (yet).

Great hotel with wonderful staff. The hotel is centrally located, you can easily walk the town. The hotel also has underground parking garage which was convenient with snow. Hotel provides breakfast and dinner which was delicious everyday. Hotel was about 10-15 minute drive to Hafjell for skiing!
